Pearson’s Global Digital Channels and Experience team is looking for a Director - Commerce Initiative Owner who will be accountable for the planning, tracking, measuring and reporting on the status throughout the entire initiative development life cycle. This position will be accountable for driving delivery rigor, roadmap delivery assurance, program management process and communication with stakeholders. We need an expert with experience in tracking a multitude of requests while thinking strategically, obsessing about the details and implementing with speed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the planning, tracking, measuring and reporting of the initiativeat both the detail and aggregated level

  • Perform and progressively refine stakeholder managementto mitigate surprises

  • Work with the team and cross functional stakeholdersto ensure quality standards are maintained and program roadmaps are delivered on time

  • Ensure planning integrity and qualityby reviewing workstream plans, identifying issues and assisting in refining and understanding team needs

  • Take ownership of any issueswhich threaten the successful development, delivery or implementation of new features and to oversee managing those issues through to resolution

  • Build and maintain strong partnershipswith internal team and technology as well as product and marketing teams

  • Conflict resolution and escalation managementof all issues


Must Have Attributes :

  • Advanced knowledge of project processes, problem management tools and procedures

  • Understanding and appreciation of software development life-cycle processes and methodologies(Eg. agile and waterfall)

  • Ability to be self-motivatedand work collaboratively with different divisions of the organization

  • Excellent written and verbal communication
