About the role
Reporting directly to the Head of Clinical, the Market Development Manager will play a central role in driving Clinical Assessments growth in the coming years.
Experienced and commercially-minded, the Market Development Manager will lead a team of Sales Consultants and maintain strong, lasting and mutually beneficial and supportive relationships with Key UK customers in allied health, psychology and education, to grow sales of Clinical Assessment across the UK.
You will research the UK market, to understand customer needs and competitor capabilities and work in partnership with pipeline customers. You will manage Pearson Clinical Assessments relationship at all levels with key UK customers and partners.
Initially targeting allied health and psychology (including NHS) the focus will be on growing enterprise adoptions of Q-interactive™, our revolutionary digital system that delivers the world’s most advanced assessment tools.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, collaborative and self-motivated individual to join our team to lead the growth and market share of the Clinical Assessment portfolio across the UK.
This position is based from our Oxford office covering the UK. Home working will be considered. Travel within the UK is required. We provide you with a company car and all the equipment you need including, mobile phone, laptop and iPad.

You’ll be commercially-minded and possess the following experience and qualities:
3 years sales experience within the Health sector, selling to NHS organisations at a senior level
Experience of working within the NHS, with a strong understanding of NHS culture and decision making process is vital
New business development experience
Strong communication skills, able to present to large groups, prepare compelling proposals, and work on a 1:1 basis with prospect customers to develop compelling business cases for procurement
Computer literate, comfortable working with data and able to demonstrate systems fluently
Excellent analytical skills.
Collaborative team player, strong people skills to develop new and existing relationships
Driving license, right to work in the UK
Extensive senior level decision maker contacts across both commissioning and provider sectors of the NHS
Educated to degree level (or equivalent) is desirable but you must be a strategic thinker with sales leadership experience.
